This diwali, I decided to go Udupi, karnataka with one of my friend. This was a three day tour. We decided to visit Saint Mary island on second day and Mangalore the third day. On first day, we visited temples in Udupi. Udupi is famous for its temples and literally known as city of temples.

First Day - Landed in Mangalore, visiting UDUPI temples

We avoided train for saving time. Our flight landed in Mangalore at around 4 pm. Airport is on the mountains, has low rush. You will not find autos there. Only cab we find was prepaid taxi which was asking 1250 for a ride to Udupi. We were going to walk to NH66 that runs along the sea. Luckily we found a man from Udupi that accompanied us to NH66 in a cab for 400 total. From highway you will find a lot of intercity buses that go towards Udupi.

We had a lunch in shree skanda restaurant near bus stop. Then we took a bus to Udupi. Weather is always awesome there.

We stayed in Shri Ram Residency Hotel. It is at very good location. To reach there, from the bus, just tell them to stop at post office, udupi. Hotel is in front of the post office. All temples are at walking distance from the hotel. Malpe is 6 km only. Buses, autos go to malpe. Connectivity is good.

We visited Krishna temple, Chandramooleshwara temple in Udupi etc followed by dinner at Diana hotel, udupi.

Second Day - St Mary Island, Malpe and Kapu beach

We took a bus to Malpe from Udupi City bus stand. Bus stopped near a turn. Beach was in left direction so we took a walk to beach for 5 minutes. From the beach, ferry service is available to St Mary Island. They take 200 per person on boat for taking to the island and coming back but allow only one hour to stay on island. You should ask for more time if they allow.

We enjoyed for an hour and then came back from boat. At malpe, I got a nice tattoo. Boat Paragliding , banana ride, boat ride sea sports are available there.

We went to a hotel and then took a bus from stand to udupi and again a bus from udupi to kapu beach. After getting down from bus, you need to go right for around one km. Road to kapu from highway is on right side when you get off the bus coming from udupi. Kapu has a light house. Crowd gathers around 3 pm as light house opens around 4-5 pm. These are some snaps at kapu.

Where is Chassis Number in Bajaj Pulsar RS200 ?

How to Set clock or time on Bajaj Pulsar RS200

Hi bikers, Follow below instructions to set time or clock on your pulsar RS200. This may work for NS200, RS400 etc pulsar range bikes. You have to use the M (Mode) and S (Set) buttons to do so. 1. First you need to stop the engine. You can't do this at night as you will need sufficient light to see the dial. Do it during daytime. 2. Press the mode button to select TRIP 1 mode. 3. Press the mode and set button together for more than 3-4 secs. Then the ':' in the clock will stop blinking and HH MM digits will start blinking. 4. Now if you press the mode button, the hour will chance and increment by 1 each time, and pressing the set button will have the same effect on the Minutes. 5. Once the desired time is set, press both the mode and set buttons together for 3-4 secs. This will save the settings and will exit the 'clock mode' 6. P.S: do not touch the throttle till the setting is saved as it is supposed to exit the clock from the set mode without saving th

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Mileage = 42 kmpl

Today I completed a continuous drive on my RS200 (2015 version) from my home to UP which spanned to about 446 KMs. So just to give an update on mileage, calculations are as following: Petrol used : 11 Litres, Distance covered : 446 KM, Mileage : 446/11 ~= 42 KM/Litre (I am stunned by performance), Top Speed : 131-134 Km/Hr (I was scared to lift it above this, wanted to reach safely to destination, road = Yamuna Expressway) Age of bike : 2 years 6 months Last Service : A day before this journey Cost of Trip : 800(petrol)+205(Toll) = 1005 INR
