Karnala Sanctuary is a Paradise in disguise!

If you live in Mumbai, you will have heard about karnala bird santuary.
It is a famous weekend tourist spot for mumbaikars. It is located around 60 km from Mumbai and 10 kms from Panvel town. It is well managed now as of 2015 is getting over soon. Not only it is nearest of all spots from Mumbai but also mumbaikars believe that this place is beautiful unlike others.
If you live in Mumbai you must visit once atleast here.

I had already visited here in 2011. That time this place was very unsafe to trek. Now scaffoldings are there, path has been normed out, rain sheds have been build on the hill. People come in many a number than ever. They are mainly students and trekkers. There is a normal set of guidelines people have to follow for this trek.

1. Try to wear shorts, tight grip shoes that will make climbing steep spots easy.
2. Avoid taking food as monkeys are here to snatch food.
3. Avoid trekking in rainy day.
4. Have sufficient amount of water before starting the trek, water is available at the base, no worries if you forget to bring.
5. Try to keep mosquito repellent, medic pack etc
6. They take Rs 25 and Rs 100 parking fee for 2 wheeler and LMV respectively. Keep little cash not much. They will charge 100 for your SLR.
7. Karnala opens at 7 AM in morning till 7 PM and open on sundays too. ( karnala opening time )

Some quick facts about this trek, it takes 1.5 to 3 hours to finish. If you are amateur to trekking, go slow and have plenty of water and don't give up till you reach the top. At the top you will feel fresh breeze that will make you feel good sleepy. Its about 413 m high so wind feel at that height is amazing.

There two paths at the base where you can find food and plants with names written  well as bird cages. One of these paths takes you to the jungle where I was able to move up along waterfall to some distance only. A bitch came with me and she was holding my leg with her mouth and was trying to stop me from going further as she knew this was risky ahead. This is the place where you will find some birds, spiders etc. As I failed to move further, I started moving back to base near small lake. Then I had breakfast, bought water and started trekking.

You can find countless images about karnala but I am sharing some of the best ones that I took as a part of my photography interest. You can follow my 500px , facebook account for upcoming beauties ahead .

After 90 minutes of trek I saw this pinnacle of Karnala fort below. It really felt worth, I felt like flying in sky.

This view was taken from there itself. This will make you forget mumbai traffic.

One more...

Higher ground is more beautiful...

Finally if you intend to tease this lovely creature then please don't.

How to Set clock or time on Bajaj Pulsar RS200

Hi bikers, Follow below instructions to set time or clock on your pulsar RS200. This may work for NS200, RS400 etc pulsar range bikes. You have to use the M (Mode) and S (Set) buttons to do so. 1. First you need to stop the engine. You can't do this at night as you will need sufficient light to see the dial. Do it during daytime. 2. Press the mode button to select TRIP 1 mode. 3. Press the mode and set button together for more than 3-4 secs. Then the ':' in the clock will stop blinking and HH MM digits will start blinking. 4. Now if you press the mode button, the hour will chance and increment by 1 each time, and pressing the set button will have the same effect on the Minutes. 5. Once the desired time is set, press both the mode and set buttons together for 3-4 secs. This will save the settings and will exit the 'clock mode' 6. P.S: do not touch the throttle till the setting is saved as it is supposed to exit the clock from the set mode without saving th
